Junior Campers spend the majority of their day out-of-doors in the green and glorious natural environment of Prospect Park. Every week is built around a theme that comes alive in the songs we sing, the arts and crafts we make, the games we play, and a very special event. Our in-season staff training incorporates the same weekly theme, and the result is personal growth for campers and staff alike.
Junior Campers go on a trip most weeks, except when they participating in one of our beloved, camp-wide events.
We learn while we play.
We engage our Junior Campers in a variety of traditional camp activities like sports, drama, music, martial arts, gymnastics, and swim, all carefully selected to support physical, social, and emotional development. As they try, fail, and learn on their own, our campers learn to trust their own judgment, developing into children, and ultimately people, who are prepared to tackle the challenges of an ever changing world with creativity and confidence.
