For teens entering grades 9 & 10. Based in Windsor Terrace.

The Leadership Advantage

The program requires a 6-week commitment beginning Monday, July 7 and running through Friday, August 15.

Leadership is the perfect opportunity for a teen who is ready to step up to the next level of day camping and responsibility. Young Leaders learn by doing, gaining skills that make a confident person, an effective member of the community, and a qualified PSDC staff member.

We immerse participants in "hands on workshops" and "real life opportunities" to develop themselves in public speaking, goal setting, interpersonal and group communication, becoming a committed and enthusiastic leader, and also train for certifications in CPR and first aid. Young leaders will find themselves working with our staff developers and supervisors; at times they will be out in the field, or in the pool or at the beach with our campers.

When recruiting staff for the next summer, we look first to our Leadership Experience graduates .

The experience includes two overnight trips; one to Club Getaway and one to a destination to be announced, as well as occasional day trips, all of which are included in the fee.
