"Do you know if there will be camp this summer?"
Not yet.

June 3, 2020

Yesterday, Governor Cuomo announced that NYS day camps may open on June 29.  That helps, but not as much as you might think.  The announcement came without guidelines or a date certain by which they would be released, nor did it address the fact that children who need new medical forms to attend camp won't have an easy time getting to see their doctor.

But more immediately, we are licensed by NYC Department of Health and the city, which is 2 phases behind most of the state in re-opening, has not yet made an announcement.  We do know the pools will be closed and that special event permits for the parks have been cancelled.  We don't know if, given a green light, the fields in the park will be available to us.  Given the unrest in the city, we understand that decisions about camp may not be this week's priority at City Hall.  So while the governor's announcement is a step in the right direction, we aren't there yet.

Please bear with us.  To our many registered families, thank you again for hanging in with us.  Keep your eyes on our website, social media, and your email if you are on our list, for updates.
