Behind the Scenes: What do we learn in Cirque D'Ete?

Updated: Dec 24, 2019

How do a bunch of artists-in-training, guided by counselors and specialists, prepare to put on a show? Adventurous by nature, participants spend two weeks conquering new skills and gaining the confidence it takes to enjoy performing. Here's a glimpse into the world of Cirque d'Ete.

Counselors encourage campers as they are introduced to the culture of Cirque d'Ete.

Our rotations help campers learn persistance in the face of new challenges. Gymnastics, art, circus skills, and music are all part of the day!

Older campers jump into clubs to learn choreography, improvisational comedy, and film! Clubs give our more experienced performers a chance to show off their skills.

By making their own props, campers own a piece of the show along with the performance!

The effort our campers put in is much more than the process of putting on any show. With lessons in teamwork, enthusiasm, creativity, and good ol' fashion camp spirit, our campers are able to see that Circus Camp is more than a two-week program; it's the skills they learned, set in motion with the community they built.
