A personal interview is required prior to acceptance in this program.

We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation and on the wonderful "camp culture" that is unique to the PSDC.  Both are products of the talents of our loyal staff and the serious, yet creative, training that they receive before and during the season. 
We offer our young leaders the opportunity to step up to the next level of day camping and learn by doing, gaining skills that make a confident person and an effective member of the PSDC staff.  We immerse our participants in "hands on workshops" and "real live opportunities" to develop themselves in the areas of public speaking, goal setting, interpersonal and group communication, becoming a committed and enthusiastic leader, and include training in CPR and first aid.  Young leaders will find themselves working with our trainers and supervisors; at times they will be out in the field, or in the pool with our campers.  Young leaders will go on the overnight trip to Club Getaway.  We look first to our Leadership Program graduates when recruiting staff for next summer.
